This project is carried out in the Marina "El Cid", in Puerto Morelos and focuses on the installation of artificial habitats that provide refuge for fish larvae; which favors their survival and future recruitment to wild populations.
This project is aligned with the Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) number 14: "Underwater Life"; of the United Nations (UN).

• Installation of 9 Biohut devices that will be auxiliary in:
• Ecosystem support services for marine life (fish postlarvae and macroinvertebrates).
• Promote the survival of fish postlarvae and support the ecological restoration of wild populations.
• Biological monitoring of native, exotic, and invasive species.

• Establishment of an environmental education program for high school students.
• Alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) of the United Nations Organization (UN): 14-Underwater life and 17- Alliances to achieve Type of services.
• Identification of aquatic species associated with artificial refuges: Biohut®.
• Identification guide for aquatic species associated with artificial refuges: Biohut®.
• Increase in the collection of records of the Crustaceans (Collection 601, CONABIO) and Molluscs (Collection 603, CONABIO) collections.
